Qualifying as a Bach Foundation Registered Practitioner – Jane Basson

Last year I wrote about my experience on Level 2 of the Bach training programme, saying that I was excited about continuing on to Level 3 – Practitioner Level. Click here to read that post

I did indeed start Level 3 in April 2023 and am delighted to report here that I received the good news in early January that I had passed all the various elements – a great start to the New Year!  That means I am now a practitioner and can use the letters BFRP after my name – Bach Foundation Registered Practitioner.  Significantly, this means working to the Code of Practice set down by the Foundation and being committed to using the remarkable  system of flower remedies exactly as Dr Bach intended.

As with Levels 1 and 2, I absolutely loved the Level 3 training.  It began with a four day residential training course at the Ammerdown Centre between Frome and Radstock – a lovely countryside retreat which was a wonderful venue for the course.  It was a great opportunity to connect with other would-be practitioners in person and totally immerse ourselves in the world of flower remedies for four days.

The assessment took various forms – first a written paper on the last day at Ammerdown, followed by six weeks to complete the second part which involved written assessments in various formats.  After that, three months in which to complete three real-life case studies, written up in depth, as well as an extended essay.

The case studies were extremely rewarding to do – all three of my volunteers experienced significant positive benefits after using their personal, bespoke remedy blends, with all of them saying how the remedies had helped them cope with challenges or difficult emotions.  This is what Nicole said about her experience:

“I was unsure of what to expect from flower remedies and what it was all about.  Jane welcomed me in and made me feel at ease, and explained all about the way Bach remedies work.  I found it an amazing experience and I can honestly say it’s been life changing for me too.  An issue I have struggled with for a lifetime was made easier with remedies and Jane’s support.  I will be forever grateful!”

Since beginning my flower remedies training in February 2021, I have found the combination of the courses, the written and practical assignments, the real-life case studies and the continual experience of using the remedies with friends, family and customers at work, has cemented my firm belief in the power of this subtle but profound system of healing to support us all with our health and wellbeing.

Just a few examples of the how flower remedies can help are:

  • The challenges of modern daily life, such as feeling overwhelmed or anxious about work and responsibilities
  • Specific anxieties such as fear of flying, going to the dentist or a job interview
  • Feelings of bitterness, resentment, anger or guilt
  • Lack of self-confidence or difficulty making decisions
  • Difficulty coping with change, such as a house move, new job or new school
  • Dealing with challenging people in our lives, helping us to set our own personal boundaries

I am delighted to now be offering consultations on Monday afternoons at Bath Natural Remedies.
